Anita Soina

Anita Soina is a Kenyan environmentalist, author, and youth advocate renowned for her leadership in climate action and social justice. A proud member of the Maasai community, she founded The Soina Foundation and Spice Warriors, mobilizing youth on issues of climate resilience, water, sanitation, education, and gender equity. At just 22, she ran for Kenya’s National Assembly under the Green Thinking Action Party, becoming the youngest candidate in her constituency.

Anita is the Global Youth Champion for the UN-hosted Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) partnership and East Africa Regional Director for the Climate Story Lab Africa. She has represented youth voices at major global platforms including COP26, COP27, UNEA, and Stockholm+50. Author of The Green War, she continues to champion inclusive, community-led solutions for sustainable development across Africa.
