Mary
Mary is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and gender equality. Since 2021, she has served as the Communications and Press Lead at Youth Initiatives for Youth Action Foundation, a prominent organization committed to empowering young people through ICT and Business Process Outsourcing Skilling Initiatives, among other programs.
In her role as the Deputy Executive Secretary for the African Young Leaders Foundation (AYLF), Mary provides strategic leadership and guidance to AYLF branches across Africa, fostering leadership development among young Africans.
Mary is also a Board Member on the Grants and Partnerships Committee at Concern for the Girl Child Uganda, an organization that provides education support to vulnerable girls, as well as initiatives focused on sexual reproductive health, WASH services, and child protection for marginalized communities in Uganda.
As the Treasurer of the National Youth Council at the Uganda Red Cross Society, Mary plays a critical role in managing financial resources and ensuring the effective implementation of youth-focused programs and initiatives.
Her advocacy extends into the legislative arena as a member of the 6th National and East African Youth Parliaments, where she has contributed to decisions impacting the lives and rights of young people. Additionally, she is the Chapter Leader of the Ladies of Liberty Alliance Uganda and the Deputy Regional Leader of the Ladies of Liberty Alliance (LOLA) Africa, where she spearheads the mobilization and empowerment of women to achieve individual liberty and spreading free market ideas through advocacy efforts and community development.
Mary’s extensive contributions to youth and women’s rights projects underscore her unwavering commitment to social justice and equality.
