Hassan Ghazaly
Hassan Ghazaly is an Egyptian anthropologist and a policy expert in youth, media, and sports. He is the founder and general coordinator of the African Youth Bureau at the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the Secretary-General of the Pan African Foundation for Development and Capacity Building, and he is the Regional Communication Champion at APRM. He has a rich professional career spanning over thirteen years for a young man in his thirties, holding a distinguished and unique vision and extensive experience enriched with experiences, challenges, and deep societal impact at the local, continental, and international levels.
Previously, he held the positions of Deputy Secretary-General for North Africa from 2014 to 2017 and vice-president of the Pan African Youth Union from 2017 to 2020. Pan African Youth Union is the oldest continental youth organization, established in 1962, and conducts direct voting by the heads of national youth councils across the African continent.
His career enjoys significant trust from continental institutions and decision-making centres at the local, continental, and international levels, which is continually translated through invitations as a youth advocate to high-level international youth forums. Additionally, he is invited as an expert and policymaker to participate in shaping the most important continental frameworks concerning youth. Notably, his contribution to the "Framework Document Defining the Role of Youth in Peace and Security" in November 2020 and his involvement in formulating the "African Youth and Volunteerism Framework Document within the African Union"
Ghazaly has established numerous national, African, and international projects and programmes focused on youth development and empowerment, fostering their social responsibility towards their nations. Among these projects are the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, the AfroMedia Initiative, the Pan African School 2036, the Bozoor Project for Parallel Education, the Model African Union, the Nasser Youth Movement, and the Project "Nile Valley Unity: Future Visions", along with other initiatives.
His wide-reaching journey has had a profound impact on Global South and global affairs circles, characterized by the Moto "One for all, All for one".
