The AYLF Teenage Pregnancy Prevention and Support Program (AYLF TPPSP)
Theme: From Vulnerability to Resilience: Africa in Perspective
Project Overview
The AYLF Teenage Pregnancy Prevention and Support Program (hereinafter referred to as AYLF TPPSP Project) aims to support teenage pregnant girls and young mothers in Africa, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and economic empowerment opportunities. The project seeks to reduce the stigma associated with teenage pregnancy, promote gender equality, and improve the overall well-being of young mothers and their children in Africa. AYLF TPPSP will make a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of young women and their children across the continent.
The timeline for the AYLF TPPSP project is approximately 4 years and 6 months, with each phase building upon the previous one to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable approach to supporting teenage mothers in Africa.
AYLF National Presidents are going to be serving as the major stakeholders in the implementation of this Project in their respective Countries. They would be tasked to conduct a thorough research on teenage mothers at the local levels and present the data to the Project Management Team for scrutiny and affirmation before the disbursement of funds for the Project’s execution.
